The first love of my life was the veterinary medicine. Treating sick animals was all I wanted to do since very early age.
I was born in Brazil, graduated from Universidade Federal Fluminense, Rio de Janeiro in 1979. For the first year after graduation, I worked with cows in large farms on the west part of Sao Paulo state and Mato Grosso state. Soon after, I got involved with horses and never looked back again.
Horses seem so easy to treat, they “talk” to you and they want so much to live, that the majority of them respond amazingly well to treatments. I had an ambulatory practice for a little more than 20 years, when I moved to America. My interests are Reproduction, Internal Medicine, Dentistry, Preventive Medicine and Emergencies, although I enjoy all aspects of the ambulatory practice. My personal interests are hiking, biking, swimming on the ocean and the outdoor activities.
